Local public school districts are now considering offering bible classes as electives in their high schools. Texas State Board of Education members gave final approval to the new curriculum last week. NewsChannel 11's Katie Bauer has the story.

LOUISVILLE A former Jackson Local School District business manager, Douglas Winkler, will be the new treasurer of Louisville City Schools. Louisville City Schools Board of Education voted to offer Winkler a three-year contract that will pay him a $78,000 annual base salary.

The Pittsburgh Public School Board has voted to consolidate two local schools. On Wednesday evening, Board members voted six to three to merge CAPA High School and CAPA Rogers Middle School.
